Aberdeen Artist Lisa Polson in Christmas Battle with Little Mix
Aberdeen, 14th December 2011 – When Aberdeen based artist Lisa Polson recorded a version of favourite song Cannonball to appear on her debut album, little did she know that she would be in competition with this years X-Factor winners Little Mix.
Lisa, who works locally as a nurse, has already released two singles and Cannonball is set to be her third release. However, unlike Little Mix, Lisa plays guitar on her version of the song and her sultry vocals are a treat for the ears in what is an edgier version than the one being released on Syco.
We’re calling on the folks of Aberdeen to get behind Lisa, who can regularly be heard performing at venues around the city. The song is available on Monday 19th December via her website (www.lisapolson.com) and facebook page (/lisapolsonmusic) with a preview of the track on her youtube channel (/thelisapolson).
Artist Details
Lisa Polson is a singer songwriter based in Aberdeen whose pure voice and guitar technique is reminiscent of country artists such as Nanci Griffith. AudioFile Records are releasing Lisa’s version of Cannonball on a select number of sites later this week and it will be on general release on the major stores shortly after.
